Design Workshops

Choose the best workshops that fit your design skills. Workshops vary in length from 6 ~ 12 weeks. Students will work on a commercial or residential project and learn about the design process from conceptual design to design development. Each week students will have to complete some exercises in order to complete the final project. I will review weekly some of the projects during our 1 hour live class. Unlimited e-mail support will be available during the entire duration of the workshop .

These workshops are made for professionals who wants to learn more about specific type of projects or want to enlarge their portfolio but also for design amateurs who want to learn more about interior design and try the excitement to be in a virtual classroom with other designers.

Interior Design

1 Residential Design

In this residential design workshop students will learn the entire design process from conceptual design to design development. They will also learn about color theory, lighting, material selections and presentation skills.

2 Commercial Design

In this commercial design workshop students will work on a simple retail or office project. The project might be part of a design competition.

Students will learn the design process from conceptual design all the way to design development, as well as the basics of construction documents.

3 Materials Design

In this workshop students will work on design projects that will teach the student how to select and specify finishes, fabrics, and furnishings based on the different requirements of the client project and industry standards.

4 Social Design

In this workshop students will work on a commercial project that is focused on social design. This workshop is built around the concept of sustainability.

Students will create design solutions that enhance social, cultural and sustainable values.

5 Hotel Design

In this workshop students will work on a complex commercial project such as a hotel, museum or school. Students will be able to apply their entire skillset that they learned in the previous workshops.

They will focus on the design process and standards learned in the previous workshops creating a professional presentation for their portfolio.

What you will learn

Students at the end of each workshop will be able to :

+ Research materials, colors palette, finishes and furnishing for a residential or commercial design project.
+ Produce efficient mood boards and generate multiple concept and design solutions.
+ Know basics of anthropometrics and ergonomics.
+ Apply standards and guidelines that impact life safety to their projects.
+ Learn how to create a successful and attractive design presentation.
